29 CFR 1910.147(c)(6)(i): The employer did not conduct a periodic inspection of the energy control procedure at least annually to ensure that the procedure and the requirement of this standard were being followed: Mail Processing Area: Employee(s) preform maintenance tasks on equipment, such as but not limited to the APPS Machine, without a periodic review of the energy control procedures and the authorized employee's responsibilities to ensure proper de-energization of the equipment. Employees were exposed to entanglement and/or amputation hazards. The U.S. Postal Service was previously cited for a violation of this occupational safety and health standard or its equivalent standard 1910.147(c)(6)(i), which was contained in OSHA inspection number 1099365, citation number 2, item number 1 and was affirmed as a final order on 02/26/2016, with respect to a workplace located at 2901 Scott Futrell, Charlotte, North Carolina 28228.
