29 CFR 1910.132(d)(1): The employer did not assess the workplace to determine if hazards are present, or are likely to be present, which necessitate the use of personal protective equipment (PPE): On or about September 25, 2019, at the KIK Custom Products Processor Tank Farm in Houston, Texas; the personal protective equipment assessment did not include equipment to provide body protection for mechanics from chemical burns while working on piping containing highly concentrated bleach during leak repair. The KIK Custom Products was previously cited for a violation of this occupational safety and health standard or its equivalent standard 1910.132(d)(1), which was contained in OSHA inspection number 1147407, citation number 1, item number 1 b and was affirmed as a final order on 8/2/2016, with respect to a workplace located at 106 Central Avenue, Cortland, New York, 13045.
