29 CFR 1926.1153(i)(1): The employer did not include respirable crystalline silica in the program established to comply with the hazard communication standard (HCS) (29 CFR 1910.1200). The employer did not ensure that each employee had access to labels on containers of crystalline silica and safety data sheets, and were trained in accordance with the provisions of HCS and paragraph (i)(2) of this section: a) Northern Colorado Concrete, Inc. at the Martin Marietta Greeley Asphalt Plant, 925 N 35th Ave., Greeley, Colorado: On or about 6/19/2019 the employer did not include respirable crystalline silica in the program established to comply with the hazard communication standard (HCS) (29 CFR 1910.1200). The employer did not ensure that each employee had access to labels on containers of crystalline silica and safety data sheets, and were trained in accordance with the provisions of HCS and paragraph (i)(2) of this section. Employees work with concrete on a daily basis in the demolition and installation of ramps, sidewalks, driveways, and other concrete structures. This condition exposed employees to chemical hazards associated with concrete.
