29 CFR 1910.132(f)(1): The employer shall provide training to each employee who is required by this section to use PPE. On and/or before April 9, 2019, the employer failed to provide training on how to properly don and wear personal protective equipment for employees performing activities such as melting and pouring, cleaning troughs, skimming sows, adding scrap casting to undersized sows, and any other activities with exposure to molten aluminum including, but not limited to, the following: donning and wearing pant legs that cover the top of the spats and sleeves that cover the end of the gloves unless reaching overhead. Imperial Aluminum - Minerva LLC was previously cited for a violation of this occupational safety and health standard 29 CFR 1910.132(f)(1)(iii), which was contained in OSHA inspection number 1336346, citation number 1, item number 7a and was affirmed as a final order on December 7, 2018, with respect to a workplace located at 217 Roosevelt Street, Minerva, Ohio 44657.
