29 CFR 1910.147(c)(7)(i): The employer did not provide adequate training to ensure that the purpose and function of the energy control program was understood by employees: a. On or about November 1, 2017, the employer did not ensure employees were adequately trained in the purpose and function of the energy control program. Employees were required to perform activities such as unjamming bags from inside the G machine near the Delta Sealer, and are exposed to amputation hazards from moving parts in that the equipment was not properly deenergized. Liqui-Box Corp. was previously cited for a violation of this occupational safety and health standard or its equivalent standard 29 CFR 1910.147(c)(7)(I) which was contained in OSHA inspection number 1158595, citation number 1, item number 2 and was affirmed as a final order on September 1, 2016 with respect to a workplace located at 1817 Masters Ave. Ashland, OH 44805.
