29 CFR 1910.147(c)(7)(i): The employer did not provide training to ensure that the purpose and function of the energy control program was understood by employees: a. On or about April 19, 2017, the employer did not ensure employees were adequately trained in the purpose and function of the energy control program. Employees were required to change stones on the Blanchard grinders, and are exposed to amputation and caught by hazards from rotating parts in that the equipment was not properly deenergized. Precision Steel Services was previously cited for a violation of this occupational safety and health standard or its equivalent standard 1910.147(c)(7)(I) which was contained in OSHA inspection number 330584, citation number 1, item number 3 and was affirmed as a final order on September 23, 2013 with respect to a workplace located at 31 E. Sylvania Ave. Toledo, OH.
