29 CFR 1910.335(a)(1)(i): Employees working in areas where there were potential electrical hazards were not provided with electrical protective equipment that was appropriate for the specific parts of the body that needed to be protected and for the work being performed: a.) Safeway Packaging, Inc. located at 300 White Mountain Dr. New Bremen, OH; On or about November 18, 2015, the employer did not ensure employees were protected while working on the McKinley Rotary Die Cutter #3. Employees were required to rewire the 480V conveyor motor and did not wear the required face, eye, hand, and body protection, exposing them to electrical shock and arc flash hazards when verifying 0 energy with a meter. Safeway Packaging, Inc. was previously cited for a violation of this occupational safety and health standard or its equivalent standard 29 CFR 1910.335(a)(1) which was contained in OSHA inspection number 31378713, citation number 1, item number 2a and was affirmed as a final order on 12/8/12 with respect to a workplace located at 300 White Mountain Dr. New Bremen, OH.
