29 CFR 1910.23(c)(2): Runways four feet or more above floor or ground level were not guarded by standard railings (or the equivalent) and toeboards: a. During the week of November 2, 2015 and prior, the employer failed to ensure employees performing preventative monthly maintenance on crane 304 were protected from a fall of approximately 40 feet by utilizing a standard guardrail system on the west trolley runway. b. During the week of November 2, 2015 and prior, the employer failed to ensure employees performing preventative monthly maintenance on crane 307 were protected from a fall of approximately 40 feet by utilizing a standard guardrail system on the west trolley runway. The TimkenSteel Corporation was previously cited for a violation of this occupational safety and health standard or its equivalent standard 1910.23(c)(1), which was contained in OSHA inspection number 978613, citation number 01, item number 002 and was affirmed as a final order on August 21, 2015, with respect to a workplace located at 2401 Gambrinus Ave. SW, Canton, OH 44706. The TimkenSteel Corporation was previously cited for a violation of this occupational safety and health standard or its equivalent standard 1910.23(c)(1), which was contained in OSHA inspection number 984005, citation number 01, item number 001 and was affirmed as a final order on August 21, 2015, with respect to a workplace located at 4511 Faircrest St. SW, Canton, OH 44706. The Timken Co. was previously cited for a violation of this occupational safety and health standard or its equivalent standard 1910.23(c)(3), which was contained in OSHA inspection number 462358, citation number 02, item number 001 and was affirmed as a final order on July 1, 2013, with respect to a workplace located at 2401 Gambrinus Ave. SW, Canton, OH 44706.
