Text For Citation: 02 Item/Group: 001A Hazard:
29 CFR 1910.22(a)(1): Place(s) of employment were not kept clean: On or about June 10, 2014 at 120 McArthur Road, Marble Hill, GA: a. Throughout the facility, heavy dust from sanding, grinding, and cutting on fiberglass/resin mixture, and saw dust from wood working accumulated on elevated vertical and horizontal flat surfaces, exposing employees to an explosion and fire hazard. b. In the shop area where fiberglass sheets are stored and cut, rags, scraps of tubing, fiberglass and other materials were not cleaned up in a timely manner. Excess materials have been allowed to accumulate in the area. c. Throughout the facility, empty containers that once contained chemicals including but not limited to Polycor, styrene, Norox MEKP-9H, and lacquer thinner were allowed to accumulate.
