Text For Citation: 02 Item/Group: 001A Hazard:
29 CFR 1910.134(c)(1): In any workplace where respirators are necessary to protect the health of the employee or whenever respirators are required by the employer, the employer shall establish and implement a written respiratory protection program with worksite-specific procedures. The program shall be updated as necessary to reflect those changes in workplace conditions that affect respirator use. The employer shall include in the program the following provisions of this section, as applicable: (a) Production Area: Employees were required to wear tight-fitting filtering facepiece respirators, but a written Respiratory Protection Program was not established nor implemented, on or about March 26, 2013. Di-Ferraro Inc., dba Totowa Concrete Products was previously cited for a violation of this occupational safety and health standard, which was contained in OSHA inspection number 312861842, citation number 2, item number 2a and was affirmed as a final order on February 3, 2010, with respect to a workplace located at 28 Burgess Place, Wayne, New Jersey.
