29 CFR 1926.501(b)(13): "Residential construction." Each employee engaged in residential construction activities 6 feet (1.8 m) or more above lower levels shall be protected by guardrail systems, safety net system, or personal fall arrest system unless another provision in paragraph (b) of this section provides for an alternative fall protection measure. a) Located at 48241 Genesis Drive, Coshocton, OH 43812: On or about February 7, 2025, the employer did not ensure that employees framing were protected from falling by a fall protection system while installing sheathing onto the roof. As a result, employees were exposed to a fall hazard of greater than 11 feet while performing residential construction. b) Located at 48241 Genesis Drive, Coshocton, OH 43812: On or about February 7, 2025, the employer did not ensure that employees framing were protected from falling by a fall protection system while installing framing brackets. As a result, employees were exposed to a fall hazard of greater than 13 feet while performing residential construction. A & R Builders, LTD. was previously cited for a violation of this Occupational Safety and Health standard 29 CFR 1926.501(b)(13), which was contained in OSHA inspection number 1628082, citation number 1, item number 1 and was affirmed as a final order on April 5, 2023, with respect to a workplace located at 930 Main St, Doris on Main Apartment Buildings, Wheeling, WV 26003.
