Text For Citation: 02 Item/Group: 001A Hazard:
29 CFR 1910.106(e)(2)(iv)(a): Category 1 or 2 flammable liquids, or Category 3 flammable liquids with a flashpoint below 100 �F (37.8 �C), shall be kept in covered containers when not actually in use: On April 29, 2024 at a facility located at 206 Charles Street, Oconto, WI 54153; containers of acetone (Category 2 flammable liquid) were not covered when not in use. Plastic open top buckets in the Finishing and Lamination departments were used to submerge portions of rags, brushes, and tools in acetone without covering the top of the container. The Marine Technology Inc. was previously cited for a violation of this occupational safety and health standard or its equivalent standard 29 CFR 1910.106(e)(2)(iv)(a), which was contained in OSHA inspection number 1512596, citation number 1, item number 2 and was affirmed as a final order on June 30, 2021, with respect to a workplace located at 206 Charles Street, Oconto, WI 54153.
