29 CFR 1910.132(d)(1): The employer did not assess the workplace to determine if hazards were present, or were likely to be present, which necessitated the use of personal protective equipment: At the main facility at the orchestra pit area, employee(s) engaged in maintenance activities were exposed to laceration and struck by hazards while utilizing powered hand tools. The employer did not conduct any PPE hazard assessments in any areas of the facility to determine adequate PPE for employee(s). The employer is unaware if hazards exist in the facility that could be mitigated by PPE use and implementation.
