Text For Citation: 02 Item/Group: 001A Hazard:
29 CFR 1910.147(c)(4)(i): Procedures were not developed, documented and utilized for the control of potentially hazardous energy when employees were engaged in activities covered by this section: A) On or about October 26, 2023, procedures were not utilized for the control of potentially hazardous energy and employees were exposed to caught-in hazards of moving elements when performing servicing/maintenance tasks such as adjusting the photo eye of Bread Pattern Former #3. B) On or about March 10, 2024, and at times prior, procedures were not utilized for the control of potentially hazardous energy and employees were exposed to machine hazards during set-up or changeover including replacement of circular bun slicing blades on Bun Line 2 - Bun Slicer section of the Model 90 Autoload Machines. The Pan-O-Gold Baking Co. was previously cited for a violation of this Occupational Safety and Health Standard 29 CFR 1910.147(c)(4)(i) which was contained in OSHA inspection number 1414346, citation number 1, item number 1 and was affirmed as a final order on 11-22-2019, with respect to a workplace located at 1000 Wilburn Rd., Sun Prairie, WI 53590.
