29 CFR 1926.501(b)(1): Each employee on a walking/working surface with an unprotected side or edge which was 6 feet (1.8 m) or more above a lower level was not protected from falling by the use of guardrail systems, safety net systems, or personal fall arrest systems. a) On or about August 30, 2023, employees constructing a covered parking area were exposed to a 12.8-foot fall from a 2/12 pitch roof at 5480 Grant Avenue, Suite 2, Cleveland, Ohio 44125; the employer did not ensure that each employee on a walking/working surface with an unprotected side or edge which was 12.8 foot above the lower level was protected from falling by the use of guardrail systems, safety net systems, or personal fall arrest systems.
