Text For Citation: 02 Item/Group: 001A Hazard:
29 CFR 1926.503(a)(1): The employer did not provide a training program for each employee who might be exposed to fall hazards. The program shall enable each employee to recognize the hazards of falling and shall train each employee in the procedures to be followed in order to minimize these hazards. 163 Maple Grove Drive, Pittsfield, MA: On or about May 25, 2023 and at times prior employee(s) were exposed to fall hazards as part of their assigned duties and the employer had not trained them prior to exposure to these hazards in topics such as but not limited to recognition of fall hazards, dangers of fall hazards and procedures each employee must take to prevent or minimize risk of such exposures. J and Z Roofing and Construction, Inc was previously cited for a violation of this occupational safety and health standard or its equivalent standard 29 CFR 1926.503(a)(1) , which was contained in OSHA inspection number 1615745, citation number 1, item number 3, group b and was affirmed as a final order on 11/30/2022, with respect to a workplace located at 181 Second Street, Pittsfield, MA.
