29 CFR 1910.134(c)(1): A written respiratory protection program that included the provisions in 29 CFR 1910.134(c)(1)(i) - (ix) with worksite specific procedures was not established and implemented for required respirator use: a) Worksite, South Jefferson Street and I-280, Orange, NJ The employer did not establish and implement a written respiratory protection program for employees required to wear half mask respirators during the demolition and removal of concrete road surfaces with pneumatic jackhammers . The employees were exposed to the hazard of airborne respirable crystalline silica. Violation occurred on or about September 27, 2021 The Power Concrete Co., Inc. was previously cited for a violation of this occupational safety and health standard or its equivalent standard 29 CFR 1910.134 (c)(1), which was contained in OSHA inspection number 1283871, citation number 1, item number 1a and was affirmed as a final order on 7-5-18, with respect to a workplace located at Port Reading Avenue between ProLogis Way and West Avenue in Woodbridge Township, NJ.
