Text For Citation: 02 Item/Group: 001A Hazard:
29 CFR 1910.147(c)(4)(i):Procedures shall be developed, documented and utilized for the control of potentially hazardous energy when employees are engaged in the activities covered by this section. On or about April 15, 2021, the employer did not ensure maintenance technicians performing service activities on the Paw Picker Machine utilized an energy control procedure to control the hazardous electrical energy of the machine, while replacing the rails of the machine. CASE FARMS PROCESSING, INC., WAS PREVIOUSLY CITED FOR A VIOLATION OF THIS OCCUPATIONAL SAFETY AND HEALTH STANDARD OR ITS EQUIVALENT STANDARD, 29 CFR 1910.147(c)(4)(i), WHICH WAS CONTAINED IN OSHA INSPECTION NUMBER 1048762, CITATION NUMBER 03, ITEM NUMBER 001a, AND WAS AFFIRMED AS A FINAL ORDER ON MARCH, 21, 2019, WITH RESPECT TO A WORK PLACE LOCATED AT 1925 30TH STREET, NE, CANTON, OHIO.
