29 CFR 1910.178(l)(1)(i): The employer did not ensure that each powered industrial truck operator was competent to operate a powered industrial truck safely, as demonstrated by the successful completion of the training and evaluation specified in this paragraph (l): Facility: The employer did not ensure through providing training and information and performing evaluation that the employees required to operate long forks powered industrial trucks (PITs) were competent to operate PITs safely at all times. Bozzuto's was previously cited for a violation of this Occupational Safety and Health standard or its equivalent standard 29 CFR 1910.178(l)(3)(I)(F), which was contained in OSHA Inspection Number 1482166, Citation Number 1, Item Number 1a and was affirmed as a final order on January 15, 2021, with respect to a workplace located at 400 Industrial Ave Cheshire, CT 06410.
