29 CFR 1910.132(a): Protective equipment was not used when necessary whenever hazards capable of causing injury and impairment were encountered; On or about September 25, 2019, at the KIK Custom Products Processor Tank Farm in Houston, Texas; a mechanic, not wearing protective clothing, was burned by chemicals (16% concentrated bleach) when piping was opened during a leak repair. The KIK Custom Products was previously cited for a violation of this occupational safety and health standard or its equivalent standard 1910.132(a), which was contained in OSHA inspection number 1147407, citation number 1, item number 1 a and was affirmed as a final order on 8/2/2016, with respect to a workplace located at 106 Central Avenue, Cortland, New York, 13045.
