29 CFR 1926.760(a)(1): Each employee engaged in a steel erection activity who is on a walking/working surface with an unprotected side or edge more than 15 feet (4.6 m) above a lower level was not protected from fall hazards by guardrail systems, safety net systems, personal fall arrest systems, positioning device systems, or fall restraint systems. On or about July 31, 2019, employees working on a steel erection patio roof were not using a fall protection system. This condition exposed employees to falls exceeding 15 feet. Protech Roofing Systems Inc. was previously cited for a violation of this Occupational Safety and Health Standard or its equivalent standard 1926.501(b)(1), which was contained in OSHA inspection number 1323196, citation number 1, item number 1, and was affirmed as a final order on July 11, 2018 with respect to a workplace located at 7251 S Desert Blvd., Canutillo, TX. Protech Roofing Systems Inc. was previously cited for a violation of this Occupational Safety and Health Standard or its equivalent standard 1926.501(b)(10), which was contained in OSHA inspection number 1308114, citation number 1, item number 1, and was affirmed as a final order on June 12, 2018 with respect to a workplace located at 101 S. El Paso St. El Paso, TX. Protech Roofing Systems Inc. was previously cited for a violation of this Occupational Safety and Health Standard or its equivalent standard 1926.501(b)(10), which was contained in OSHA inspection number 1149199, citation number 2, item number 1, and was affirmed as a final order on July 14, 2016 with respect to a workplace located at 6801 N. Mesa St. El Paso, TX.
