29 CFR 1910.215(a)(4): Work rest(s) on grinding machinery were not adjusted closely to the wheel with a maximum opening of one eighth inch: Maintenance Shop: Employees use the Palmgren industrial bench grinder for deburring sharp edges. The work rest was measured 1/4 inches from the abrasive wheel. Employees were exposed to entanglement hazards. The U.S. Postal Service was previously cited for a violation of this occupational safety and health standard or its equivalent standard [29 CFR 1910.215(a)(4)], which was contained in OSHA inspection number 1143085, citation number 1, item number 2 and was affirmed as a final order on August 17, 2016, with respect to a workplace located at 600 N Lincoln Avenue, Pasadena, California 91101.
