Text For Citation: 02 Item/Group: 001A Hazard:
29 CFR 1926.652(a)(1): Each employee in an excavation shall be protected from cave-ins by an adequate protective system designed in accordance with paragraph (b) or (c) of this section except when: a) Jobsite: The employer did not ensure that a protective system was installed inside an excavation that was approximately 7 1/2 feet deep with type "B" soil to protect the employees from caught in between hazards. b) Jobsite: The employer did not ensure that a protective system was installed inside a trench that was approximately 7 1/2 feet with type "B" soil to protect the employees from caught in between hazards. Condition was observed on or about 1 OCT 2018. ISS Management, LLC., was previously cited for a violation of this occupational safety and health standard or its equivalent standard 1926.652(a)(1) which was contained in OSHA inspection number 1212426, citation number 1, item number 2, and was affirmed as a final order on 16 JUN 2017, with respect to a workplace located at 9371 Roosevelt Blvd., Philadelphia.
