29 CFR 1910.147(c)(4)(i): Procedures were not utilized for the control of potentially hazardous energy when employees were engaged in activities covered by this section: A) Napoleon Spring Works, Inc., located at 111 Weires Drive, Archbold, OH 43502: On or about March 27, 2018, the employer did not ensure that employees utilized specific procedures to control hazardous energy on the left mandrel winder located in the Spring Department. Hazardous energy sources such as, but not limited to, electrical were not isolated prior to performing activities such as, but not limited to, changing mandrels/bars during set-up of the left mandrel winder. Employees performing set-up tasks in this condition were exposed to caught in hazards. B) Napoleon Spring Works, Inc., located at 111 Weires Drive, Archbold, OH 43502: On or about March 27, 2018, the employer did not ensure that employees utilized specific procedures to control hazardous energy on the right mandrel winder located in the Spring Department. Hazardous energy sources such as, but not limited to, electrical were not isolated prior to performing activities such as, but not limited to, changing mandrels/bars during set-up of the right mandrel winder.
