29 CFR 1926.34(c): Means of egress was not continually maintained free of all obstructions or impediments to full instant use in the case of fire or other emergency. a. On or about November 3, 2017, at the entrance of the directional drilling rig walkway, the means of egress from the directional drilling rig was not kept free of obstruction at all times when the excavator superstructure rotated towards a trailer to unload drill pipe. Employees were exposed to hazards including, but not limited to falling drilling pipe or fires. b. On or about November 8, 2017, at the walkway to the drillers cabin, the means of egress was obstructed by hoses. Employees were exposed to hazards including, but not limited to fires.
