Text For Citation: 02 Item/Group: 001A Hazard:
29 CFR 1910.132(a): Protective equipment was not used when necessary whenever hazards capable of causing injury and impairment were encountered: a) Moore Chrome Products Company, dba Moore Metal Finishing, Sylvania, Ohio; On or about February 18, 2016, the employer failed to ensure that employees adding liquid chemicals to the dip tanks along the plating lines wore protective equipment for the upper body, lower body, and the arms when exposed to chemical burn hazards. Employees were exposed to chemicals such as, but not limited to, hydrochloric acid, chromic acid, nitric acid, and chromium III compounds.
