Text For Citation: 02 Item/Group: 001A Hazard:
29 CFR 1910.335(a)(1)(i): Employees working in areas where there were potential electrical hazards were not using electrical protective equipment that was appropriate for the specific parts of the body to be protected and for the work to be performed: a) On or about 10/16/14 in the cab of crane 362; employer did not ensure that an employee wearing leather palm gloves while conducting voltage testing on the line and load side of the electrical disconnect for the heater ( 250 Volts DC ) was protected against burns to the hands. ABATEMENT DOCUMENTATION REQUIRED Republic Engineered Products was previously cited for a violation of this occupational safety and health standard or its equivalent standard 29 CFR 1910.335 (a) (1) (i) , which was contained in OSHA inspection number 912917,Citation 2 Item 1a, and was affirmed as a final order on May 28, 2014, with respect to a workplace located at 1807 East 28th Street, Lorain, Ohio 44055.
