29 CFR 1926.1431(e)(1): A qualified person familiar with structural design must design the personnel platform and attachment/suspension system used for hoisting personnel. a. On or about 05/07/2014, at the job site - Under the direction of the employer, and not a qualified person familiar with structural design, the JLG man basket had been modified by adding angle iron and a lever to keep the man basket level and an attachment had been fabricated out of hollow steel tubing to attach the man basket to the bull nose of the crane.
