29 CFR 1910.212(b): Machine(s) designed for fixed location(s) were not securely anchored to prevent walking or moving: a) Woodshop, 460 Nixon Avenue, Suite 100, Cheswick, Pennsylvania 15024: Observed on or about March 10, 2014, a Grizzly Industrial Incorporated edge sander (model number G1140, serial number 1104851) was not securely anchored to the floor. The sander machine was setting on a movable pallet. Employees using the edge sander were exposed to struck-by hazards. b) Woodshop, 460 Nixon Avenue, Suite 100, Cheswick, Pennsylvania 15024: Observed on or about March 10, 2014, a Jet 14 inch closed stand band saw (model number JWBS-14CS) was not anchored to the floor. The 14 inch closed stand band saw was setting on a movable pallet. Employees using the band saw were exposed to struck-by hazards. c) Woodshop, 460 Nixon Avenue, Suite 100, Cheswick, Pennsylvania 15024: Observed on or about March 10, 2014, a Grizzly Industrial Incorporated 3/4 HP shaper (model number G0510X, serial number 050722) was not anchored to the floor. The shaper was setting on a movable pallet.
