Text For Citation: 02 Item/Group: 001 Hazard:
29 CFR 1926.100(a): Employees working in areas where there is a possible danger of head injury from impact, or from falling or flying objects, or from electrical shock and burns, shall be protected by protective helmets. a) West Side of the Building - A foreman and a laborer were observed without head protection while on a tubular welded frame scaffold and working above each other exposing them to a potential head injury, on or about 06/20/13. The IS Enterprises, Inc. was previously cited for a violation of this occupational safety and health standard or its equivalent standard 1926.100(a), which was contained in OSHA inspection number 314924531, citation number 1, item number 1c and was affirmed as a final order on 11/22/2010, with respect to a workplace located at 2839 Myrtle Ave N.E., Washington DC, 20018. Abatement certification and documentation required within 10 days after abatement date. The certification shall include a statement that abatement is complete, the date and method of abatement, and state that employees and their representatives were informed of this abatement. Abatement documentation shall include documents demonstrating that abatement is complete, such as evidence of the purchase or repair of equipment, photographic or video evidence of abatement or other written records.
