Text For Citation: 02 Item/Group: 001 Hazard:
29 CFR 1910.124(g)(2): Employees who worked with liquids that could burn, irritate, or otherwise harm their skin were not provided with an emergency shower and eye-wash station close to the dipping and coating operation: (a) 603 New Park Avenue - Seal Tank Room: On or about May 30, 2013, the employer did not provide and emergency eyewash station near employees working with corrosive dipping operations, which inlcuded chemicals such as but not limited, to phosphoric acid and ammonium hydroxide. The Har-Conn Chrome Company was previously cited for a violation of this occupational safety and health standard, which was contained in OSHA inspection number 311783799, Citation Number 1, Item Number 1 and was affirmed as final order on May 25, 2010, with respect to a workplace located in West Hartford, Connecticut.
