Text For Citation: 02 Item/Group: 001 Hazard:
29 CFR 1910.334(a)(2)(ii): There was a defect or evidence of damage that could have exposed an employee to injury and the defective or damaged item was not removed from service: a) 11701 Roosevelt Blvd, Philadelphia, PA - Pallet Jack Recharging Station - The employees would use an energized (120 volts) damaged flexible cord set which was being used to recharge the battery of the WP pallet jack, Model #2335-45, Serial #5A386193. This exposed the employees to a shock/electrocution hazard. On or about May 9, 2013 Abatement certification required within 10 days after abatement date. The certification shall include a statement that abatement is complete, date and method of abatement, and states employees and their representatives were informed of this abatement. The Pepsi-Cola Bottling Co. was previously cited for a violation of this occupational safety and health standard or its equivalent standard 1910.334(a)(2)(ii), which was contained in OSHA inspection number 315259036, citation number 1, item number 4c and was affirmed as a final order on April 18, 2011, with respect to a workplace located at 111 Eames Street, Wilmington, MA 01887.
