29 CFR 1910.119(j)(6)(ii): Appropriate checks and inspections were not performed to assure that equipment was installed properly and consistent with design specifications and the manufacturer's instructions. Employee(s) installed process valves in locations, including but not limited to valves manufactured by Parker, without following the manufacturer's torque specifications. The employer failed to verify valves were installed properly, according to manufacturer's recommendations per ANSI/IIAR 2-2008 Section 10.3.1.2. Tyson Foods Inc was previously cited for a violation of this occupational safety and health standard or its equivalent standard, 29 CFR 1910.119(j)(6)(ii) which was contained in OSHA inspection number 314058975, Citation #1, Item #3, and became a final order on May 5, 2011. Abatement certification is required for this violation. The abatement certification sheet is enclosed with the citation.
