Section 5(a)(1) of the Occupational Safety and Health Act of 1970: The employer did not furnish employment and a place of employment which were free from recognized hazards that were causing or likely to cause death or serious physical harm: Employees were exposed to the hazard of working with six (6) uncertified and not properly maintained pressure vessels used to store liquid CO2 at pressures of approximately 250 psig and operating temperatures of approximately -10o F. Feasible methods to correct the hazard include, but not limited to: a)having the storage vessels certified to meet the appropriate ASME Section VIII standards b)attaching ASME pressure vessel certification data plates to each pressure vessel in use c)installing ASME certified pressure relief devices on each vessel in use d)maintaining the pressure relief devices free from conditions that would prevent them from operating as designedg
