GENERAL DUTY 5A1 a.Rt.34 Approximately .7 Miles to 1,8 Miles from the Rt.60 Split - Section 5(a)(1) of the Occupational Safety and Health Act of 1970: The employer did not furnish employment and a place of employment which were free from recognized hazards that were causing or likely to cause death or serious physical harm to employees in that an employee was exposed to crushing injuries while standing up and riding as a passenger on the rubber tired Komatsu (WA 150 Serial Number 10341) end loader equipped with one seat and one seat belt. "AMONG OTHER METHODS, ONE FEASIBLE AND ACCEPTABLE ABATEMENT METHOD TO CORRECT THIS HAZARD WOULD BE TO PROHIBIT ANY EMPLOYEES FROM RIDING ON HEAVY EQUIPMENT AS PASSENGERS."
