29 CFR 1910.22(d)(1): In every building or other structure, or part thereof, used for mercantile, business, industrial, or storage purposes, the loads approved by the building official were not marked in a conspicuous place in each space to which they related: On or about 3/15/12 Location: 1364 Inwood Avenue, Bronx, NY 10452 a) A office area was framed out in the corner of the open shop area. The office was not part of the original structure and had a flat roof/ceiling. There was no sign indicating the maximum load that could be placed on the ceiling/roof. Tubular welded scaffold frames were being stored on the roof/ceiling. NOTE: Because abatement of this violation is already documented in the case file, the employer need not submit certification or documentation of abatement for this violation as normally required by 29 CFR 1903.19.
