29 CFR 1910.212(a)(1): One or more methods of machine guarding was not provided to protect the operator and other employees in the machine area from hazards such as those created by point of operation, ingoing nip points, rotating parts, flying chips and sparks. On or before 02/09/2012 the 1800 RPM transfer wheel ingoing nip point on the 54 swab machines, located in the Private Label Plant, were not guarded. U.S. COTTON, LLC WAS PREVIOUSLY CITED FOR A VIOLATION OF THIS OCCUPATIONAL SAFETY AND HEALTH STANDARD OR ITS EQUIVALENT STANDARD, 29 CFR1910.212 (a) (1), WHICH WAS CONTAINED IN OSHA INSPECTION NUMBER 315200428, CITATION NUMBER 1, ITEM NUMBER 02 AND 29 CFR 1910.219(f)(1) CITATION NUMBER 1 , ITEM NUMBER 04, AND WAS AFFRIMED AS A FINAL ORDER ON 06/30/2011, WITH RESPECT TO THE WORKPLACE LOCATED AT 15501 INDUSTRIAL PARKWAY, CLEVELAND, OH 44135.
