29 CFR 1926.501(b)(1): Each employee on a walking/working surface with an unprotected side or edge which was 6 feet (1.8 m) or more above a lower level was not protected from falling by the use of guardrail systems, safety net systems, or personal fall arrest systems. Location: 449 Washington St. Newark, NJ 07102. a: The employer failed to ensure employees were protected from fall hazards at a residential construction site. An employee was exposed to fall hazards for working on a partially complete concrete block wall at a height of 11 ft with no means of fall protection. Violation occurred on September 9, 2025. True Steel Construction was previously cited for a violation of this occupational safety and health standard or its equivalent standard 1926.453(b)(2)(v), which was contained in OSHA inspection number 1589094, citation number 1, item number 1 and was affirmed as a final order on 8/24/2022, with respect to a workplace located at 341 Dunham Corner Rd. East Brunswick, NJ 08816.
