29 CFR 1926.652(a)(1): Each employee in an excavation was not protected from cave-ins by an adequate protective system designed in accordance with 29 CFR 1926.652(b) or 1926.652(c): a) On May 21, 2025, employees working in an excavation up to approximately 7 feet in depth were exposed to cave-in hazards from an unprotected excavation walls. MVP Plumbing Corp. was previously cited for a violation of this occupational safety and health standard or its equivalent standard 29 CFR 1926.652(a)(1) which was contained in OSHA inspection number 1627532, citation 1, item 3, and was affirmed final order on December 07, 2022, with respect to a workplace located at intersection of Broadsmore Dr, Randall Rd, Algonquin, IL 60102.
