29 CFR 1910.37(a)(4): Safeguard(s) designed to protect employees during an emergency (e.g., sprinkler systems, alarm systems, fire doors, exit lighting), were not in proper working order at all times. Employee Breakroom: On or about April 1, 2025, and at times prior thereto, employee(s) use the breakroom for breaks and/or grab consumables. A ceiling panel in the employee breakroom was missing. This condition would delay the activation of the sprinkler system(s) preventing a proper fire/smoke barrier and restricting the movement of smoke in accordance with NFPA 101 8.5.1. This condition potentially exposed employee(s) to fire and smoke inhalation hazard(s).
