29 CFR 1926.501(b)(1): Each employee on a walking/working surface with an unprotected side or edge which was 6 feet (1.8 m) or more above a lower level was not protected from falling by the use of guardrail systems, safety net systems, or personal fall arrest systems: a) On April 1, 2025, employees engaged in masonry work were not protected from fall hazards of approximately 12.8 feet. BM International Builders, Inc. was previously cited for a violation of this occupational safety and health standard or its equivalent standard 29 CFR 1926.501(b)(1), which was contained in OSHA inspection number 1486086, citation number 2, item number 2 and was affirmed as a final order on July 8, 2021, with respect to a workplace located at 4840 S Dorchester Ave., Chicago, IL 60615. No abatement certification or documentation is required for this item.
