29 CFR 1926.451(c)(1)(iii): Ties, guys, braces, or outriggers were not installed to prevent the tipping of supported scaffolds in all circumstances where an eccentric load, such as a cantilevered work platform, was applied or was transmitted to the scaffold: 81 Glenn Drive Tolland, CT. On or about March 31, 2025, ties, guys, braces, or outriggers were not installed on a scaffold equipped with a pulley used to raise and lower tools and materials between the ground and work area on the roof. Safeside, Inc. was previously cited for a violation of this occupational safety and health standard which was contained in OSHA inspection number 1712619, citation number 1, item number 1-a and was affirmed as a final order on May 23, 2024, with respect to a workplace located at 288 Mile Hill Road, Tolland, CT 06084. Safeside Chimney and Duct Cleaning was previously cited for a violation of this occupational safety and health standard which was contained in OSHA inspection number 1511572, citation number 1, item number 1-a and was affirmed as a final order on August 3, 2021, with respect to a workplace located at 203 Cedar Ridge Drive, Glastonbury, CT 06033.
