29 CFR 1926.503(a)(2): The employer did not assure that each employee exposed to fall hazards was trained by a competent person qualified in the areas specified in 29 CFR 1926.503 (a)(2)(i) through (viii): a - COAH Building #3, Manalapan NJ: Two workers and the company worksite Foreman were exposed to fall hazards in excess of 30 feet when loading a worksite crane with excess roofing materials and equipment, and conducting other related activities, from steep pitched roofs (approximately 6:12 & 10:12) while wearing full body harnesses that were not connected to anchors with lanyards or other approved means. The workers had not received fall protection training as specified in 29 CFR 1926.503 (a)(2)(i) through (viii). Condition noted on or about 02/05/25. New Contractor Corporation was previously cited for a violation of this occupational safety and health standard or its equivalent standard 29 CFR 1926.503(a)(2), which was contained in OSHA inspection number 1726910, citation number 1, item number 3 and was affirmed as a final order on May 17, 2024, with respect to a workplace located at Building 8 - Rising Sun Meadows Development, Bordentown NJ. NOTE: IN ADDITION TO ABATEMENT CERTIFICATION, THE EMPLOYER IS REQUIRED TO SUBMIT ABATEMENT DOCUMENTATION FOR THIS ITEM. FAILURE TO COMPLY WILL RESULT IN AN ADDITIONAL PENALTY OF $1000.00 IN ACCORDANCE WITH 29 CFR 1903.19.
