29 CFR 1910.1200(h)(1): Employees were not provided effective information and training on hazardous chemicals in their work area at the time of their initial assignment and whenever a new hazard that the employees had not been previously trained about was introduced into their work area: a) On or about April 28, 2025, and at times prior, the employer, Powdr - Copper Mountain LLC DBA Copper Mountain Resort, did not ensure employees were provided effective information and training on hazardous chemicals in their work area at the time of their initial assignment and whenever a new hazard that the employees had not been previously trained to was introduced into their work area. Employees working in the kitchen area of Jack's Restaurant were required to use a corrosive chemical, Oasis 146 Multi-Quat Sanitizer, during cleaning operations. Employees had not received effective hazard communication training on this chemical. This condition exposed employees to potential contact with hazardous chemicals.
