29 CFR 1926.102(a)(1): Employees were not provided with eye and face protection equipment when machines or operations present potential eye or face injury from physical, chemical, or radiation agents: a) On December 9, 2024, employees were exposed to eye injury while operating a pneumatic and electric nail gun without eye protection during carpentry work. RZ Carpentry, Inc. was previously cited for a violation of this occupational safety and health standard or its equivalent standard 29 CFR 1926.102(a)(1) which was contained in OSHA inspection number 1656946, citation 2, item 1, and was affirmed final order on July 24, 2023, with respect to a workplace located at 22557 Melina Street, Kildeer, IL 60010. No abatement certification or documentation is required for this item.
