29 CFR 1910.178(l)(1)(i) - The employer did not ensure that each powered industrial truck operator is competent to operate a powered industrial truck safely, as demonstrated by the successful completion of the training and evaluation specified in this paragraph (l): Location - Throughout Facility On or about 11/29/2024, employees had not been trained, evaluated, and/or certified to operate the powered industrial truck (PIT) as required. The United States Postal Service was previously cited for a violation of this occupational safety and health standard, 29 CFR 1910.178(l)(1)(i), which was contained in OSHA Inspection Number 1718680, citation number (1), item number (2) and was affirmed as a final order on 07/10/2024, with respect to a workplace located at 2105 E. Cook Street, Springfield, IL 62703.
