29 CFR 1910.303(c)(3)(i): Conductors were not spliced or joined with splicing devices identified for the use or by brazing, welding, or soldering with a fusible metal or alloy, soldered splices were not first spliced or joined to be mechanically and electrically secure without solder and then soldered, and/or all splices and joints and the free ends of conductors were not covered with an insulation equivalent to that of the conductors or with an insulating device identified for the purpose. On or about 11/14/2024, and at times prior, at 9875 NW 79th Avenue, Hialeah Gardens, Fl 33016, a fan (i.e. (Uline Pedestal Fan - model H-989; sn - unknown) had its cord spliced and covered with tape, thus exposing employees to an electrical hazard.
