29 CFR 1910.1052(d)(2): The employer did not perform initial monitoring to determine each employee's exposure to Methylene Chloride: a) On or about October 29, 2024 - Kamesi Corporation - 111 E 100th St Apt 2B, New York, NY 10029 - Bathroom Employees performing bathtub refinishing used Hoodstrip-888 Semi-Paste Remover, which contains 75-90% Methylene Chloride (MC), to remove paint from the bathtub. The employer did not perform initial monitoring to determine the employees' exposure to Methylene Chloride. NOTE: IN ADDITION TO ABATEMENT CERTIFICATION, THE EMPLOYER IS REQUIRED TO SUBMIT ABATEMENT DOCUMENTATION FOR THIS ITEM, FAILURE TO COMPLY WILL RESULT IN AN ADDITIONAL PENALTY OF $1,000 AS PER 29 CFR 1903.19.
