29 CFR 1910.219(f)(3):Sprocket wheels and chains which were seven (7) feet or less above floors or platforms were not enclosed: a) At 20510 East Levy Street, Williston, FL 32696, Log Shaver area; On or about 09/27/2024, the employer exposed employees to caught-in hazards, in that the employer did not ensure the chains and sprockets at the rear of log shaving machine 1 were guarded. b) At 20510 East Levy Street Williston, FL 32696, Log Shaver area; On or about 09/27/2024, the employer exposed employees to caught-in hazards, in that the employer did not ensure an accessible chain and sprocket below the operator platform for operating the log deck drop arms on Log Shaver Machine 1 was fully guarded. c) At 20510 East Levy Street, Williston, FL 32696, Log Shaver area; On or about 09/27/2024, the employer exposed employees to caught-in hazards, in that the employer did not ensure the chains and sprockets at the rear of log shaving machine 2 were guarded. d) At 20510 East Levy Street Williston, FL 32696, Log Shaver area; On or about 09/27/2024, the employer exposed employees to caught-in hazards, in that the employer did not ensure an accessible chain and sprocket below the operator platform for operating the log deck drop arms on Log Shaver Machine 2 was fully guarded. e) At 20510 East Levy Street, Williston, FL 32696, Log Shaver area; On or about 09/27/2024, the employer exposed employees to caught-in hazards, in that the employer did not ensure the chains and sprockets at the rear of log shaving machine 3 were guarded. Derby Gold Pine Shavings Company was previously cited for a violation of this occupational safety and health standard or its equivalent standard 1910.219(f)(3), which was contained in OSHA inspection number 1668943, citation number 1, item number 7 and was affirmed as a final order on 09/13/2023 , with respect to a workplace located at 20510 East Levy Street, Williston, FL 32696.
