29 CFR 1926.102(a)(1): The employer shall ensure that each affected employee uses appropriate eye or face protection when exposed to eye or face hazards from flying particles, molten metal, liquid chemicals, acids or caustic liquids, chemical gases or vapors, or potentially injurious light radiation: a) Jobsite: 2250 E Cambria St, Philadelphia, PA 19134 - On or about August 17, 2024, the employer permitted an employee to use a DeWalt Carbon Fiber Composite Hammer Tacker during bricklaying operations without the use of eye protection exposing the employee to flying object hazards and hazardous chemicals such as Lehigh White Masonry Cement Type N, which is identified as a corrosive material. A-Class Construction was previously cited for a violation of this Occupational Safety and Health Standard, which was contained in OSHA inspection number 1675023, citation number 1, item number 1, and was affirmed as a final order on 12/29/2023, with respect to a workplace located at 859-869 Communipaw Avenue, Jersey City, NJ.
